Limited Use and Extended Storage Preface

Our recommendations for extended storage and/or limited use of Lucas machines are detailed in the attached process sheets.

We do not believe that ANY protective procedure can be devised that will totally eliminate problems upon re-commissioning of a machine that has ben totally removed from normal operation and service.

Following our recommendations should result in a reduction of the frequency and severity of the problems you will encounter.

Preserving a machine that only recieves Limited Usage

Scope:
The following recommendations are for a machine that will be kept in use at a reduced frequency of operation (approximately once per month).

ONCE A WEEK THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE MUST BE FOLLOWED.

TURN OFF THE MACHINE'S ELECTRICAL POWER WHILE CLEANING TO ASSURE THAT THE MACHINE CANNOT ACCIDENTALLY MOVE DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS. UNEXPECTED MACHINE MOTION COULD CAUSE MACHINE DAMAGE OR PERSONNEL INJURY OR DEATH.
